At the beginning of the 19th century , the area was called les”Halles”, the place where you could buy any food, beverages… One of the most gigantic market of Europe for professionals.

More specifically, the Comptoir de la Gastronomie kept the memory of these times.
The place exists since 1894 and is dedicated to all the food lovers.
It is Dominique Loï who made it also as a detail shop and it is today runned by his daughters Fanny and Lucie who grew among the foie gras and charcuteries all their childhood.
The restaurant, next to the shop, is a fine way to discover the homemade products through the chef menu.
